O.V Wright was amazing.

Thanks to my early “I must listen to every Wu-Tang sample source I can get my hands on” phase, I heard this version of the song before the more famous Latimore original. So keep that bias in mind when I emphasize how much Wright just repossesses this song. (Latimore fans can take comfort in the fact that he completely usurped Al Kooper here.)
